Life's a peach, isn't it?

Evenin' Dudes and Dames,

I always find it interesting when life throws you a curve ball. S'not always a bad thing, just usually means you end up busier than you'd originally intended.

Right now I'm workin' hard to keep on top of my school work (B.A. in Russian Language and Literature... I know, where'd that come from, right?) as well as two fabulous student films from York U. The first is "Sasha", a touching piece of Canadiana, in which I am head of make-up and wardrobe. I'm looking forward to this one, because a. it's a wonderful project and b. because there is so little dialogue, it's a very visually qued film. I really get to show my stuff off.

The second film is "Qid", which is another sort of Canadiana with a much more vibrant hue to the general tone of the movie. I'm head of Art Department in this one, which is extremely intimidating. I'm still finding my footing about the position and hopefully I'll do it justice.

Then, after all that, there's my aspiration for my line "Sisters Sisters" to be picked up at Shopgirls. A truly lovely acquaintance of mine, Ashley, works there alongside the owner Michelle. I walked in the Gallery/Clothing/Jewelry boutique and knew I was doomed to love not only the merchandise but the home grown philosophy too. I'm a more confidant knitter than seamstress at the moment, so I'd be selling hand knit socks, hats, gloves all made from hand-dyed Canadian yarns. I'm all about the local economy.

When I have spare time, I work on my sewing but lately I've been sparse on the spare time. Summer summer here I come. I'm extremely ready to delve into the long days at work sockin' away dough for fabric and yarn.

I hope all you lovelies are as entrenched in possibilities as me!

Happy crafting, whatever your fabric fetish is!
